A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
Lesson questions.
A little clarity for your first step. If you’re wondering about something else, get in touch.

Who are lessons for?
Beginner children, teenagers and adults. Never played before? You’re in the right place. Returning players who want to restart from fundamentals are welcome to enquire.
What age can children start?
Around seven is a useful guide, but readiness matters more than age. Younger beginners are welcome to enquire; enthusiasm, attention and comfort with the instrument matter most.
Do I need my own guitar?
No guitar yet? A full-size acoustic or electric guitar can be provided for a first lesson where suitable. For younger students, check the fit with Che first. We’ll help you choose a size and type before you buy; regular practice will need access to a suitable guitar at home.
Can I learn on acoustic or electric?
Yes, either is a good starting point. We’ll help you find an instrument that feels comfortable and suits the music you enjoy.
How long are lessons?
A 30-minute private lesson is the standard beginner session. Choose 60 minutes if you simply want more time with the same beginner approach.
What do lessons cost?
30 minutes costs $55 AUD including GST; 60 minutes costs $100 AUD including GST. Printed beginner course material is included.
Can two people learn together?
Enquire about paired or small-group lessons for siblings, friends, a parent and child, or an existing compatible group. We’ll discuss the format and price with you; we don’t offer automatic group booking or match strangers into groups.
Can a parent stay?
One parent or guardian is welcome to stay, especially for a first lesson or a younger or nervous student. Please arrange any additional accompanying person with Che beforehand.
Where are lessons?
Lessons are in Greenvale, Victoria. The exact lesson address is shared privately after booking confirmation.
How do payments work?
Your lesson is reserved without payment. We’ll send you a secure payment link before your lesson. No subscription is required.
What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?
With at least 24 hours’ notice, a lesson can be rescheduled to another available time. Cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice are normally non-refundable and the lesson fee is forfeited. Guitarso may make exceptions at its discretion in exceptional circumstances. Rights under Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected. Your Australian Consumer Law rights are unaffected. See the booking policy for full details.
What happens if I’m late?
Che will try to provide the full lesson duration where the schedule allows. If extending your lesson would delay the next student, it will finish at the original time and the missed time cannot be made up.
What if I’m sick?
For genuine illness or an emergency, contact Guitarso as soon as possible. Che may make an exception depending on the circumstances.
Do I need to know music theory?
No. You don’t have to know music to start making it. We begin with playing; theory comes in when it helps explain something you can already hear.
What should I bring?
Bring your guitar if you have one, and your course workbook. If you need an instrument for your first visit, arrange it with Che beforehand.
Is course material included?
Yes. Printed beginner course materials are included at no additional charge. Students receive a complete workbook for each phase of the course, with the next workbook provided as they progress.
Can I book a regular weekly time?
Bookings are for individual lessons. You can discuss a preferred routine with Che, but a recurring weekly slot is not automatically reserved.
